SEPANG, Nov 7 (Bernama) — The Pilgrims Fund Board (Tabung Haji) has advised depositors to update their account passbooks and personal information to facilitate receipt of the letter of offer of haj pilgrimage next year.
The letter of offer would be sent beginning next month, said Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim after welcoming the last batch of 276 Malaysian pilgrims at the KL International Airport upon their return from the holy land.
He said up-to-date information like the address and contact number would ensure that the letter reached them and also on time.
This is to avoid last-minute preparation by depositors when they receive the offer letter late, he added.
Abdul Azeez said 27 Malaysians died during the haj this year.
He also said that three pilgrims were at a hospital in Makkah and arrangements would be made to bring them home after their recovery.
