The Malaysian Meteorological Department said this in a statement Friday.
“Category three strong winds and rough seas over the waters off Condore, Reef North, Layang-layang, Sabah and Palawan are also expected to continue till Sunday,” it said.
The strong Northeasterly winds of 60 kmph and waves of up to 4.5 metres are dangerous to all coastal and shipping activities including fishing and ferry services, as well as for workers on oil platforms.
There will likely be a rise in the sea water level off the coastal areas of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and East Johor till Saturday, according to the statement.
