KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) — The strong south-westerly winds and choppy seas are expected to continue in the waters of Langkawi, Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Sabah (West Coast and Kudat) till Tuesday.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement that a similar situation was also expected to occur in the waters of North Melaka Straits, Samui, Condore, Reef North, Layang-Layang and Palawan.
Strong south-westerly winds of between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour and waves of up to 3.5 metres high occurring in the areas would be dangerous for small boats, sea recreational and sporting activities.
