KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) — The price control scheme will be implemented one week before Gawai Day is celebrated on May 31 in Sabah and Sarawak.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hasan Malek said today 12 items are placed under the price control scheme to mark Gawai Day.
“The list of price control items and the price will be announced later,” he told reporters after launching the ‘Jom Bawa Bekal Ke Sekolah’ camopaign here.
He said the ministry also plans to launch the price control scheme during the fasting month of Ramadan.
