KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 (Bernama) — Prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Friday chaired the first meeting of the Umno Supreme Council (MT) for the year 2015.
Najib, who is also the Umno president, arrived at the Umno headquarters at the Putra World Trade Centre at 3.30pm accompanied by Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
According to sources, the issues expected to be discussed at the meeting included the recent floods, the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 which was declared as having met an accident and all the people on board had perished.
In addition, the internal developments in the MIC, which is a component party of the Barisan Nasional, and the current economic situation would also be discussed, the sources said.
