General : PDRM Begins Construction Of Police HQs, District Police Stations

BESUT, Oct 16 (Bernama) — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has started initial works for the construction of several Police Contingent Headquarters and district police stations, following the allocations provided for this under Budget 2015 announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Friday.

PDRM Logistics Department director Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah said the police will ensure projects like the construction of the Perlis Contingent Police Headquarters, Nilai District Police Headquarters in Negeri Sembilan, and the Tanjung Malim District Police Headquarters would be constructed as soon as possible.

“The police force and the Home Ministry have started the initial works as soon as the budget was tabled.

“In Kelantan, construction work on the Pasir Mas District Police Headquarters will begin soon, due to be completed in two years, while the original building will be maintained as the Pasir Mas Police Station,” he told reporters after officiating a police community programme cleaning the marine parks and beaches in Pulau Perhentian here yesterday.

Also present at the programme were Terengganu Police Chief Datuk Jamshah Mustapa and Kelantan Police Deputy Chief Datuk Rosli Ab Rahman.
