General : Parliament: Disciplinary Action Taken Against 20,434 Public Servants Since 2009

KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 (Bernama) — Disciplinary action had been taken against 20,434 public servants in the last five years since 2009 for various wrongdoings, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.

He said of this number, 4,743 public servants were sacked, 125 demoted and not to be considered for promotion within a period of 48 months, while 963 were given a salary cut and not considered for promotion within 36 months.
