Led by its president and chief executive officer (CEO) Alex Feldman and vice-president Joseph Alhadeff, the meeting with Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, was held at the Education Ministry.
Heads of companies such as Oracle, General Electric and Intel were among members of the delegation.
Also present were the ministry’s officials, which includes secretary-general Tan Sri Dr Madinah Mohamad, second secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zaini Ujang and Higher Education director general Datuk Prof Asma Ismail.
In a statement issued in conjunction with the meeting, Muhyiddin hoped the meeting would further strengthen Malaysia’s bilateral relationship with the US and the Asean region, at large, building upon existing cooperation in various developmental areas such as information, communication and technology (ICT), education, health care, energy and aerospace.
He also welcomed the council’s support in Malaysia’s continuous effort towards nurturing quality human capital, in particular acquiring skills and knowledge for the 21st century.
