KEPALA BATAS, April 17 (Bernama) — The mosque should be a place to inculcate unity and brotherhood of the ummah, apart from being the venue of worship, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said the ummah solidarity could help harness the struggle to enable Islam to be respected and revered.
“We have provided facilities to empower Muslims as we want to see Islam being respected. If Muslims are weak, we will not be respected by others,” he told a gathering of religious officers as part of his working visit to Penang here today.
