Its chairman, Datuk Mohammad Yusof Apdal, said the action was taken against the public transport operators concerned for various offences.
“CVLB will not compromise with companies or operators of public transport which failed to abide by stipulated regulations and will not hesitate to take stern action, including to withdraw or revoke the permits, against the errant ones,” he told reporters at an Aidilfitri open house at his residence here Sunday.
He said this in response to complaints on public transport operators not complying with regulations, especially buses, like not following the route schedule and stopping wherever they like, causing inconvenience to other road users.
Mohammad Yusof, who is Lahad Datu Assemblyman, also cautioned transport companies against making modifications to their vehicles and suggested the use of meters by taxi operators in Sabah.
