Bentong District Police chief Supt Mohamad Nor Mansor said police received information on the incident at 12.50am.
“An MPV of the Genting Highlands auxiliary police, which was surveying the area after receiving information on a landslide, was also buried by a second landslide, but no injuries were reported,” he said when contacted here, Tuesday.
However, he did not comment further on the matter. Mohamad Nor said, currently, half of the route heading down was used as a route to go up to Genting Highlands with the route diverted to the Chin Swee Temple.
He said work to break boulders were still ongoing and a large quantity of earth had yet to be moved.
“Cleaning up work is expected to take a day and road-users are urged to be wary,” he added.
