KANGAR, May 20 (Bernama) — The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) office in Perlis has detected that construction companies were embezzling subsidised petrol and diesel.
Its deputy director, Razali Salleh, said in their first raid on a construction company in Kuala Perlis near here this afternoon, they discovered 3,000 litres of subsidised diesel stored at the project site without permission.
“The company should have purchased industrial diesel at RM2.70 per litre and apply for a permit from KPDNKK and store it, instead of buying subsidised diesel forRM2 per litre little by little and storing it in a barrel.BERNAMA – English Version
