ALOR SETAR, May 15 (Bernama) — Kedah police have beefed up security along the state’s border with Thailand to avoid any untoward incidents following spates of bombings in the neighbouring country.
Kedah Police chief Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim said tight control had been clamped down at entry points and police personnel increased in case the violence spilled over into Malaysia.
“We have our own mechanism to face the situation as we do not want the bombings spreading to our country,” he said after flagging off a Motorcycle Convoy in conjunction with the police 207th Memorial Day here, Thursday.
