KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 (Bernama) — A pair of pandas from China, the symbol of 40 years of close Kuala Lumpur-Beijing relations, have now found a new home at the National Zoo, thousands of kilometres from their homeland in Sichuan province in southwest China.
The docile creatures, on a 10-year loan from China, will undergo a one-month quarantine at a specially-built area in the zoo located in Hulu Kelang.
The pandas, called Fu Wa and Feng Yi, had arrived at the KL International Airport in Sepang shortly before 8 am today after being flown here via a special BERNAMA – English Version
