They are Datuk Lim Kim Eng, who will take up the post of Malaysian high commissioner to New Zealand, Rahimi Harun as ambassador to Brazil and Datuk Saiful Azam Martinus Abdullah as ambassador to Croatia.
The closed door meeting that lasted for thirty minutes from 2 pm was held at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office at Perdana Putra Complex in Putrajaya.
Among matters discussed were bilateral ties between Malaysia and the three countries concerned as well as business opportunities.
Kim, 57, had previously held important posts, including Malaysian ambassador to Vietnam from 2007 until 2011.
Rahimi, 52, was among those who had served as Malaysian ambassador to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from 2008 to 2011.
Saiful Azam, 47, prior to this, was Undersecretary of Multilateral Security Division from 2013.
He then served as Deputy Permanent Representative for Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations (UN) in New York, USA from 2010 to 2013.
