General : China Committed To Assist In Search For Flight MH370 – Abu Zahar

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 (Bernama) — China has reiterated its commitment to do all it can to assist in the search to locate Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 missing since last March.

The continued commitment was expressed by the executive vice-president of the Supreme People’s Court of China, Shen Deyong, when visiting Senate President Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang at Parliament House, here, Monday.

Abu Zahar said Shen, who was leading a delegation from the Supreme Court of China had also expressed deep sympathy and sorrow for the loss of the aircraft.

“Shen said China will continue to help Malaysia find flight MH370. He said this event is a mystery, and it can happen to any country,” Abu Zahar told Bernama after the visit.

Flight MH370 disappeared from radar screens on March 8 during a flight from KL International Airport to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crew members.

The Boeing 777 has not been found despite a massive search conducted in the southern Indian Ocean, where the flight is believed to have ended.

Regarding the hour-long meeting with the delegation of nine people from China, Abu Zahar said they also discussed measures to enhance the good relationship between Malaysia and China.

Shen also expressed a desire to open more doors for economic opportunities between the two countries.

“Shen also shared how they run the country and their economy with such a huge population. This partnership can help Malaysia to transform itself in order to develop the country’s economy,” Abu Zahar added.
