KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 (Bernama) — Islamic Da’wah Foundation Malaysia (Yadim) president Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki and Sarawak United People’s Party secretary-general Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian were sworn in as senators at the Dewan Negara here today.
Asyraf Wajdi, 38, who is also Umno Supreme Council member and Affin Islamic Bank’s Shariah Advisory Committee chairman, said he would focus on issues confronting young people, apart from matters related to halal and Islamic finance.
