KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 (Bernama) — Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman is a two-day working visit to Algiers, Algeria from Tuesday in conjunction with the 17th Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
Wisma Putra said the meeting would provide an opportunity for Anifah to continue his lobbying effort for Malaysia’s candidature to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the 2015-2016 term.
Anifah will also hold meetings with his counterparts to compare notes on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Tuesday.
