'Fight for Selangor MB's post really over money'
Rather than fighting for the people's sake and finding the best leader, the heated contest for the Selangor menteri besar’s position has always been about the money really, Selangor BN vice-chairperson Abdul Shukor Idrus said today.
He added people were blinded by sweet talk and empty promises but the menteri besar had direct access to wealth through the appointment of officials to head state-linked corporations, state councils and so forth, he said.
