Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said today Muslims in Malaysia are fortunate as they are able to live in peace despite varying political affiliations, unlike those in some other countries.
He said Muslims in several other countries had to put up with chaos, strife, economic problems and widespread poverty.
In Malaysia, unlike in some other countries, there was no restriction on Muslims of different political affiliations from carrying out their religious obligations, he said when addressing a luncheon gathering in the compound of a mosque in Pengkalan Kubor.
