Demand for Nepalese workers in Malaysia and a number of Gulf countries rose more than 33 percent in the last three months.
A quarterly report from Nepal’s Department of Foreign Employment showed that 129,410 Nepali job seekers left for overseas from mid-July to mid-October.
“The figure is an increase of 33 percent over the same period last year,” said the report.
