KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Bernama) – The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) has a new chief executive officer in Dr Mohd Khalid Abdul Samad.
His appointment is effective Jan 6.
Mohd Khalid said he was honored to be given the opportunity to lead the MyCC, which is in the inimitable position of encouraging healthy competition in the country.
“I look forward to working with the public and private sectors as well as the business and consumer communities towards a more dynamic business landscape, especially during this era of significant economic challenges,” he said in a statement.
Mohd Khalid was the former Director of Consumerism Standards Division and Director of Co-operative Development Division in the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism.
He has worked extensively in areas concerning good governance, government reform, public policy, auditing, and financial and human resources management.
