In a statement today, Matrade said the six-day mission starting yesterday was aimed at exploring opportunities in Myanmar and Thailand for Malaysian companies involved in shipbuilding and ship repair services.
“Ten companies participating in the mission are offering maritime products and services. They are either supplying vessels, boats and floating structures or offering consulting services on ship financing, contracts and marine insurance, ship maintenance, and ship design,” it said.
The companies included Cahaya Pasifik Sdn Bhd, Computer Applied Systems & Engineering Sdn Bhd, Emel Fouf Enterprise, Gimhwak Enterprise Sdn Bhd, Gimhwak Shipyard Sdn Bhd, and Hitech Powerhouse (Asia) Sdn Bhd.
Matrade has lined-up business meetings with major maritime and shipping companies as well as networking sessions with relevant ministries, authorities and associations in Myanmar and Thailand for the Malaysian companies.
