KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) — The move by the Works Ministry to have discussions with highway concessionaires on the restructuring of toll rates to ease the burden of the people, is a praiseworthy move, said Selangor state assemblyman Sulaiman Abdul Razak.
He said the approach announced recently by Works Minister Datuk Fadillah to allow the concessionaires to forward their proposals on the restructuring will create a win-win situation for all concerned.
Both parties, if really keen to resolve the issue of toll rate increases to help the people, need to review future profits under the concession agreements, he added.
