Nurul Izzah: BN offered Anwar DPM post after GE13
More than 1,000 supporters turned up for the event to honour jailed Opposition leader and Permatang Pauh MP Anwar Ibrahim in Seberang Jaya, Penang today.
Pakatan heavyweights including Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and PAS deputy chief Mohamed Sabu addressed the crowd tonight, and pledged strong support for Anwar.
Anwar's wife and PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is also expected to address the crowd, and has met Penang members in two separate meetings this afternoon.
During the ceramah, Anwar's daughter Nurul Izzah earlier told the crowd that BN offered her dad the deputy prime minister's post following his success in garnering 52 percent of the popular vote at the 13th national polls in May 2013.
"The deal is that Anwar forgets, abandon and have nothing to do with his Pakatan friends," she said, referring to her dad who is currently serving a five year jail term for sodomy.
