However, there was no change in Kelantan with the number of evacuees still remaining at 2,749 people while in Selangor, all the 41 flood evacuees sheltered at a relief centre in Sepang have been allowed to return to the homes.
PERAK and TERENGGANU saw an improving trend with the total number of evacuees in the two states dropping to 3,467 people compared to 3,874 in the morning.
The higher number of evacuees in PAHANG was due to the district of Rompin also now hit by floods following incessant heavy rain.
A Pahang police headquarters flood operations room spokesman said two relief centres were opened there to shelter 161 victims from 40 families.
Pekan still has 11,764 evacuees, Maran (2,618), Kuantan (1,012), Temerloh (611) and Bera (109).
A National Security Council (MKN) spokesman in Kelantan said the number of evacuees in the state was the same as in the morning, 2,749 people, who are at 27 relief centres with Kuala Krai having 1,399 evacuees, Gua Musang (1,157), Tanah Merah (93) and Machang (100).
PERAK also recorded a drop in the number of evacuees, from 3,601 people (959 families) in the morning to 3,397 people (900 families) at midday. They are being sheltered at 18 relief centres.
An MKN spokesman said Perak Tengah had 2,642 evacuees, Hulu Perak (191) Hilir Perak (394), Manjung (155) and Kuala Kangsar (15).
Meanwhile, according to the MKN flood portal for TERENGGANU, Kemaman, the only district still having flood evacuees in the state, saw their number drop drastically, from 273 people in the morning to just 70 people at midday.
