KUCHING, Dec 2 (Bernama) — The Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud today conferred the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (PNBS) awards to the Rural and Regional Development Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, and Deputy Home Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
The investiture ceremony was held at the Astana Negeri, Petra Jaya in conjunction with the 78th birthday anniversay of the Yang Dipertua Negeri which was celebrated on Sept 13.
The award carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.
Also present were the wife of the Yang Dipertua Negeri, Toh Puan Ragad Kurdi Taib, Mohd Shafie’s wife, Datin Seri Shuryani Datuk Shuaib and Wan Junaidi’s wife, Datin Seri Fiona Sim.
