Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem’s call against the labelling of the Chinese as ‘pendatang’ (immigrants) is a message to Putrajaya to tackle the issue, says state PKR vice president See Chee How.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, See said that Adenan is actually telling the Umno-led BN government to stop further racial profiling.
"He (Adenan) has certainly shown the courage that the prime minister of Malaysia obviously lacks," he said.
Adenan yesterday said that the Chinese community could not be regarded as immigrants as they were the fourth or fifth generations and were born in Sarawak.
