The scheduled hearing of Isma president's Abdullah Zaik's sedition trial has been postponed after his lawyer asks that the court should await for Universiti Malaya's associate professor Azmi Sharom's constitutional challenge.
The Sessions Court judge allowed Nor Hazani Hamzah, allowed lawyer Salim Bashir's request for a postponement while waiting the decision on Azmi's challenge.
The trial was scheduled for three days.
DPP Mohd Abazafree Mohd Abbas did not object to the postponement.
Scores of Isma supporters waited outside the new court complex.
