He said he was informed by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) under the Prime Minister’s Department on the approval for construction of the hospital.
“Construction of the hospital will not be implemented under the 11th Malaysia Plan, but soon,” he told reporters after chairing the state executive council meeting here today.
He said besides the hospital, the federal government had also approved the construction of the High Skill Institute near Larut and a health clinic in Manjoi.
Zambry also said the state government, through the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP) would upgrade or rebuilt the government rest houses, including at Teluk Intan and Kuala Kangsar.
They would be reconstructed and rebranded under the name Casuarina, he added.
