The new toll rate at the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar, Johor Baru (BSI) for public transport is minimal while residents using the EDL Expressway which is connected to the toll at the CIQ, are also not burdened as the usage is free.
Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) director-general Ismail Mat Salleh, in disclosing this, said the low-income group would not be burdened because the 95,000 daily users on motorcycles were not charged the toll at the CIQ, while about 180,000 vehicles using the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) and its inner ring roads stretching 8.6km were also not charged.
