In a statement, Handal said the award entailed its wholly-owned subsidiary, Handal Offshore Services Sdn Bhd (HOSSB), of designing, supplying and delivering one unit of the pedestal crane to Sarawak Shell Bhd for usage at the E6 Field Development Project off Sarawak.
HOSSB is contracted to deliver the pedestal crane within one year.
Handal Group Advisor and Deputy Managing Director of Handal Joel Emanuel Heaney said with these new projects, the group’s order book – including oil and gas support services such as repairs and maintenance – amounted to RM191 million, to be delivered up to 2018.
With the immediate commencement of the contract, Handal anticipated for the new contract to contribute positively to group revenue for at least two years, beginning in the current financial year ended Dec 31, 2014.
