The Federal Territory PAS women's wing or muslimat has defended their party president Abdul Hadi Awang and launched a broadside on his PKR counterpart Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The wing's deputy head Rosni Adam recalled how Wan Azizah could not handle the pressure of being opposition leader after the 2008 general election.
"Under Hadi, PAS gave Wan Azizah the opportunity to hold the opposition leader post. There was no gender issue then.
"Unfortunately, she could not take it and resigned after only six months."
