General : Sabah Allocated RM4.07 Billion In 2015 Federal Budget – Musa

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 10 (Bernama) — Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman told the State Assembly today that Sabah was allocated RM4.07 billion in the 2015 federal budget for implementation of various projects.

He said RM272.6 million was allocated for the People’s Housing Project in Kota Belud, Kudat and Kampung Ketiau, Putatan.

A total of RM165,585,255 is allocated for construction of rural roads, rural water supply projects (RM99,250,000) and rural electricity supply project (RM578,454,469), he said in response to a question from Klias Assemblyman Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin.

Musa, who is also Sabah Finance Minister, said RM80,774,000 was allocated for poverty eradication programme and about RM2.9 billion for projects under the Sabah Development Corridor, as well as construction of water treatment plants and installation of pipes in Beaufort.

“Implementation of these projects will improve the quality of life of the Sabah people, especially the rural residents,” he added.
