Clad in red, some 100 protesters gathered in front of the Parliament building to object the hike in fuel prices and the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The protesters sang songs and chanted slogans.

PAS Youth chief Suhaizan Kaiat, together with several NGO representatives, were allowed in to submit a memorandum on the issue to the BN Back Benchers Club and Pakatan Rakyat MPs.

On Oct 2, the price for RON 95 petrol and diesel went up by 20 sen, whereas the government would implement the GST beginning April 1 next year.
