Business : Bank Muamalat Eyes 200 Pct Deposit Growth With Campaign

SHAH ALAM, Jan 23 (Bernama) — Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd (BMMB) targets deposits to grow 200 per cent or by RM200 million by the end of its Oh Yeah! campaign on May 31 this year.

Chief Operating Officer Mashitah Osman said the bank expects 60,000 new accounts by the end of the campaign period.

“The campaign signed up 30,000 new customers from June 1 to Dec 31 last year, and we are optimistic about achieving the target,” she told reporters after giving away cash prizes to winners of the June-December 2014 campaign here.

The 12-month campaign, which began on June 1 last year, offers a total of RM3.48 million in cash prizes and is open to customers aged 18 and above who open a new account with a minimum deposit of RM1,000 or existing customers who deposit over RM1,000 in their accounts.
