A group of activists has staged a “black ribbon” protest against Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim today, demanding him to step down from his post as the state’s MB.

About 20 protesters from the group known as “Kembalikan Selangorku” (Return My Selangor) first gathered in front of Khalid’s Port Klang constituency service centre before proceeding to Selangor State building in Shah Alam.

They wore black ribbons and tied themselves to the gate of the building, signifying the demise of democracy in the country’s most developed state.
