General : India Offers Scholarships For Malaysian Students

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 2 (Bernama) — India is offering three scholarships under the General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) to students from Malaysia for the academic year 2015-2016.

According to a statement from the High Commission of India to Malaysia, students wishing to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate degrees or research at Indian universities can apply for the scholarship.

“Several institutions in India offering various courses, including engineering, architecture, technology, hotel management, journalism, science, law, business administration, dance and music, are covered under this scholarship,” it said.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, living allowance, house rent allowance, contingent grant, and thesis and dissertation expenses, the statement said.

It said candidates should be proficient in English and should not have serious health problems.
