There has been an increase in rat urine cases or Leptospirosis in Pahang from 2011 to 2013, the Pahang state assembly was told today.

State Health, Human Resources and Special Duties Committee chairperson Norol Azali Sulaiman said the number of rat urine cases recorded in the state last year was 277 compared with 163 cases in 2012 and 135 cases recorded the previous year.

Among the districts which recorded the highest number of cases were Kuantan, Jerantut, Lipis, Pekan, Maran and Temerloh.
