PUTRAJAYA, Feb 5 (Bernama) — The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) President Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah was disappointed with a group of fans who displayed an insulting banner during the Charity Shield cum Super League match between JDT and Pahang at the Larkin Stadium on last Saturday.

“A little disappointed but I need not comment because many others have already talked about the issue. I would like to keep my mouth shut,” said Tengku Abdullah when met at the ground-breaking ceremony for the Asean Football Federation (AFF) headquarters, here today.

Twelve fans were said to have displayed a giant banner of a dog wearing a suit with the FAM emblem, on Saturday.

The banner was quickly brought down by officials on duty at the stadium while the Johor Football Association had claimed 12 fans were detained.

In the Charity Shield match, JDT beat Pahang 2-0.
