Perkasa has questioned Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin's commitment to Islam after he insisted that the right wing group chief Ibrahim Ali's threat to burn the Bible was seditious.
"Which religion is the Umno Youth chief actually fighting for?" asked Perkasa Youth chief Irwan Fahmi Ideris in a statement today.
The wing took offence after Khairy cast doubts on the Attorney-General Chamber's (AGC) refusal to prosecute Ibrahim on grounds that he made the threat in defence of Islam.
The AGC in its explanation said Ibrahim made the threat in the context of an incident in Jelutong where three men had distributed Malay-language copies of the Bible to students including Muslims.
