Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar refused to weigh into the Bible burning threat which has embroiled the government in controversy, after Putrajaya defended the action.

"This matter has already been answered, the attorney-general has already given his comment, so has the minister, there is nothing more for me to add," he told journalists at a press conference in Cheras today.

Asked if this means the case is closed, Khalid refused to be direct about the matter.

"It doesn't mean that when I say I don't want to comment further, it is closed.

"But there are enough of comments already. We will do our duty according to the law, (we) don't want to talk much," he said.
