PUTRAJAYA, Jan 8 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today received a courtesy call from Asean secretary-general Le Luong Minh at Perdana Putra here.

The meeting was part of Le’s itinerary during his three-day working visit to Malaysia beginning yesterday.

The working visit marks the beginning of Malaysia’s role as Asean Chairman this year.

Wisma Putra in a statement yesterday said it was the tradition for the Asean secretary-general and his officials to visit the chair country at the beginning of its chairmanship to discuss preparations for a series of Asean meetings during the year.
