KUALA TERENGGANU, Jan 26 (Bernama) — The Terengganu State Government today postponed its New Terengganu Transformation (TTB) Carnival at the Kuala Nerus level which was initially scheduled from Jan 29 to 31.
Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said in a statement here that the postponement was to respect the death of Tengku Ampuan Intan Zaharah Almarhum Tengku Setia Raja on Saturday.
“All forms of entertainment programmes are not allowed during the mourning period, and this includes the TTB carnival,” he said.
He added that the state government would announce the new date for the programme after the 40-day mourning period.
