Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin should promise to resign if any leaks are identified in future major examinations following the leak of the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) Science and English papers.
DAP parliamentarian Ong Kian Ming said Muhyiddin, who is also education minister, could show his commitment to protecting the integrity of the country's school examinations by promising to resign.
“But will he be brave enough to make this promise?” Ong asked in a statement today.
The Serdang MP also believes that it was not sufficient for Muhyiddin to apologise for the examination paper leakages.
“He must give the assurance that such leaks will not occur for the UPSR Science paper which will be taken on Sept 30,” he said.
