MELBOURNE, April 30 (Bernama) – Internationally acclaimed Sabah-born artist Hong Yi, who goes by the nickname “Red”, will be a special guest at Fiesta Malaysia this May 25 at Federation Square here.
The Melbourne architecture graduate is well known for her artworks, including portraits of famous individuals with everyday items such as tennis balls, flowers, food and coffee cup stains.
Her latest work is a portrait of Jackie Chan using chopsticks. She was named Esquire Magazine’s 12 Brilliant Malaysians of 2013 and given Perspective Global Hong Kong’s 2013 Under 40 Designers’ award besides …
